The Elk County Humane Society holds a lot of fundraising events throughout the year. Some of them are: |

| 1. | ELK COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY SWEATSHIRTS - complete with logo. They are gray and come in youth sizes- medium and large for $18.00 and in adult sizes- medium, large, and extra large for $20.00. We also have new Polo t-shirts for $18.00. Stop by or call the shelter. |
| 2. | WALK AND WAG DAY - This is held at Benzinger Park. Pets and owners both are guaranteed fun time. There are contests galore to bring out the giggles in you. A petting zoo for the kids is set up and there is food available for both beasties and humans. Walk & Wag Day is held in early October each year. Keep watch this fall for complete details and an printable online registration form. |
| 3. | DICE RUN - The annual Dice Run will be held in Early August each year. The event begins and ends at the Greenlite Restaurant and Lounge on Brussells Street in St. Marys. Check back for more details!!! |
| 4. | USED CELL PHONES - We are accepting used cell phones. They can be dropped off at the shelter on East Eschbach Road or at Fancy Fingers on Depot Street. |

SALE OF SILICONE WRIST BANDS - Wristbands are $3.00 each and are available at the Shelter. These silicone wrist bands say I (heart) LOVE MY PET. The color is red, white and black (all on one). MYSTERY DINNER - This year's Mystery Dinner - "Something Borrowed, Someone Dead", will be held Sat. April 10th at the St. Marys Country Club. Contact Sally at (814) 834-3551 for reservations. Last year, a packed house was on hand to help solve the mystery. Call now, reservations are filling up quickly!!! |

RACE CAR SHOW - The 8th Annual Elk Co. Race Car Show benefiting the Elk County Humane Society will be held Saturday April 3rd, 2010 from 11am to 2pm at Tractor Supply Co. in St. Marys. A bake sale, used book fair and other activities will be held to benefit the Society. For more information on the show, call Pat at 814-512-2832. SPONSOR A PEN PROGRAM - For the armchair activist, those living in far off areas and for those who just want to help in some way, the Sponsor a Pen program is a plan that can help the dogs and cats at the shelter in a big way. The Elk County Humane Society will clean the pens and take care of the future someone's pet. The sponsor has no responsibilities to the pen except to pay the sponsoring fee and enjoy the benefits of knowing the pen will be a clean safe home until the pet enters their new permanent home. The sponsor's name will be honored on a dog or cat pen of your choice in the shelter. You can stop by the shelter and fill out an application or send the sponsoring fee with the name you want on the animal pen to the Elk County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1022, St. Marys, PA 15857. The cost is $20.00 a month or $200.00 for the entire year. |
